Can someone explain the practical difference between habits and the setup after a few failed attempts?

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

The detail that surprised me was how much the library changed the outcome. Same plan, diffrent setting, completely different energy.

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather than trying to solve everything at once. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Hope this helps!

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather then trying to solve everything at once. If two options look equal, choose teh one that is easier to reverse.

Come back with what happened; teh details will make teh next answer better

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. The Madrid example makes it feel concrete

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. I keep a note about support for exactly this reason

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The lunch break version is even more interesting

The kindness in this post is lovely. I noticed the same thing in Dublin. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages
