What is worth spending money on for languages on a budget?

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where languages stopped feeling new.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where speaking stopped feeling new.

Context matters here, so compare the local norm with your own constraints before deciding. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Do ten minutes daily instead of one giant weekend session.
- Save phrases you actually want to say.
- Speak badly on purpose; fluency needs reps.

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Kind of wild how often times is the whole issue.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I learned that one the expensive way.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. It sounds small, but the playlist matters.

For travel days, leave one flexible block. The best thing on a trip is often the thing you did not schedule. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.
