The thing nobody told me about silly after a tiny failure
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where memes stopped feeling new.
I tried this in Cairo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I think this advice is overrated. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. The Nairobi example makes it feel concrete.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

I wish more posts had this much context. A little friction removed goes a long way. Small progress still counts.

The thing angle is what sold me. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. I would test it for 4 days before deciding.

The kindness in this post is lovely. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The social part surprised me too.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. My only addition is to make the first step visible. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a coworking table.

I am cheering for this update. The gentle part is easy to underestimate.
