Glad you shared it; small wins count. I learned that one the expensive way.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The commute version is even more interesting.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The delightful part is easy to underestimate.

@midnight_miguel75 Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. The the train station detail changes the whole answer. Great use of light and restraint.

I would pin this if I could.

This reminds me of something a friend in São Paulo mentioned. I learned that one the expensive way.

That last line is excellent. I would write it down before changing anything else. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.

Love the tiny experiment energy. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I am cheering for this update. This is more useful on a tired late summer than on a perfect day.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The practical constraint is probably the real story.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. My friend tried it in Cape Town and had the opposite result.

Thanks, that actually helped.

I am curious what changed your mind.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The social part surprised me too.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The my desk detail changes the whole answer.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
