What mistake taught you the most about school?

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

The detail that surprised me was how much a family dinner changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. I would test it for 4 days before deciding.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

This. Exactly this.

Anecdote beats theory here.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I am curious whether school still feels good next month.

The Tuesday test is undefeated.

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather than trying to solve everything at once. Most people skip the boring setup, but that setup is what makes the good habit survive a busy week.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Hope this helps!

Now I want a spreadsheet.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. The weekend version is even more interesting.
