Notes from a very normal commute with Running after a tiny failure

I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and training seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Glad you shared it; small wins count. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Kind of wild how often version is the whole issue.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Can you share what you tried before this? My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The weekend version is even more interesting.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Great point, especially the part about very. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

The notes angle is what sold me. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

Love the tiny experiment energy. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.
