A tiny win from Istanbul that made my week after a tiny failure

the detail that surprised me was how much a trailhead changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 6 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The best gear is the one that gets used

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. The social part surprised me too

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it

honestly this is a little too vague to be useful. I keep a note about maintenance for exactly this reason

I needed the reminder to start smaller

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I would love to see a follow-up after 8 weeks

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The social part surprised me too

Great point, especially the part about tiny. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability
