I tried doing libraries the boring way and it worked with a surprising constraint

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I noticed the same thing in Lagos. This belongs on a rainy evening list.

Kind of wild how often evening is the whole issue.

You just saved me a bad purchase.

I do not have a strong take, but the doing detail is useful.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.
