What are the red flags beginners miss in Parenting as a beginner?

I started this because my Monday morning felt a little stuck, and school seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where kids stopped feeling new.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather than trying to solve everything at once. Most people skip the boring setup, but that setup is what makes the good habit survive a busy week.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Hope this helps!

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

I would love a follow-up example.

Adding this to my notes.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. It sounds small, but the routine matters.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Anecdote beats theory here.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. A little friction removed goes a long way.
