My 4-month experiment with astronomy that actually stuck

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and planets seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Honestly, great taste. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. I noticed the same thing in Cape Town.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. I appreciate when people separate evidence from speculation.

Can you expand on that a bit?

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

I do not have a strong take, but the experiment detail is useful. I noticed the same thing in Manila.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. I appreciate when people separate evidence from speculation.
