The thing nobody told me about poetry after 34 tries

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 3 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I am curious whether prompts still feels good next month.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink nobody. My friend tried it in Lagos and had the opposite result.

Kind of wild how often friend is the whole issue.

Yep, the boring details matter.

@midnight_otter50 I like this more than the top-level advice.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. The late summer version is even more interesting.
