A surprisingly useful lesson from the train station after 17 tries

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.

I tried this in Toronto with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I would push back gently on the lesson part. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I would love a follow-up example.

That made the concept click.

Good reminder that boring can be good. This is more useful on a tired weekend than on a perfect day.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Helpful correction.

@lena-12 That is a good boundary.
