A tiny story about pierogi, Berlin and timing from the corner shop

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. fans got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I tried this in Nairobi with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through

do you think this would work in a smaller place then Cape Town?

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. For me it came down to the first draft

I appreciate teh honest middle stage, not just teh polished ending. A little friction removed goes a long way

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated

Really good advice, and it feels doable. That is where the boring checklist helps. Recovery is training too

that is fair, but I still worry about maintenance
