The quiet joy of doing the routine badly at first before coffee

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I tried this in Mumbai with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

The kindness in this post is lovely. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Can you expand on that a bit?

What would you change if you started over? I would write it down before changing anything else. Consistency beats intensity here.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

Could be regional too.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. This is more useful on a tired rainy evening than on a perfect day. Tactics are half the fun when nobody is shouting.

Kind of wild how often evening is the whole issue.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I learned that one the expensive way. Tactics are half the fun when nobody is shouting.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. For me it came down to the practice run.
