What I wish I knew before trying artists from my commute notes

The detail that surprised me was how much the kitchen changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. A little friction removed goes a long way.

That made the concept click.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. The delightful constraint is probably the real story.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. A little friction removed goes a long way. The second half changed how I felt about the beginning.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I noticed the same thing in Mexico City.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. The useful part is easy to underestimate.

Honestly, great taste. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? A little friction removed goes a long way.
