I finally understand why Science people care about physics without making it complicated
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

That last line is excellent. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink physics. The useful constraint is probably the real story.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Great point, especially the part about without.

What would you change if you started over? A little friction removed goes a long way.

Honestly, great taste. The practical part is easy to underestimate.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. It sounds small, but the recipe matters.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. That is where the boring checklist helps.

This made me smile more than expected. The chaotic part is easy to underestimate. Nature keeps being stranger than the simplified diagram.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

There is probably a middle ground here. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.
