My 4-month experiment with cookies before coffee

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Good reminder that boring can be good. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. I noticed the same thing in Berlin.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether coffee stayed easy. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. For me it came down to the first draft. This is the kind of thing that tastes better the next day.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. Now I'm hungry, which feels unfair.

The vibe here is immaculate. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about before.
