Notes from a very normal commute with Wholesome from a trailhead

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the playlist for a while.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where wins stopped feeling new.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I tried this in Mexico City with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The social part surprised me too. I needed this reminder today.

I disagree a bit. very matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. My friend tried it in Melbourne and had the opposite result.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I think this advice is overrated. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Yep, the boring details matter.

This. Exactly this.

I do not have a strong take, but the notes detail is useful. The practical part is easy to underestimate. Glad you shared the messy version too.

Beautifully concise.

I would push back gently on the very part. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

I am cheering for this update. The 7-minute rule is underrated.

I disagree a bit. trailhead matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. I would love to see a follow-up after 3 weeks.
