The gentle joy of doing the setup badly at first in Berlin
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where tactics stopped feeling new.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I keep a note about fans for exactly this reason.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This has cozy competence written all over it.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Love the tiny experiment energy. The ambitious part is easy to underestimate.

I would love a follow-up example.

@hugo-38 Can you expand on that a bit?

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. The commute version is even more interesting. Tactics are half the fun when nobody is shouting.

That is a much better way to say it.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Kind of wild how often regional is the whole issue.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. A tailwind can fix an entire personality for ten minutes.

What would you change if you started over? I noticed the same thing in Warsaw.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I would write it down before changing anything else. Consistency beats intensity here.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Seoul? Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

I do not have a strong take, but the berlin detail is useful. That is where the boring checklist helps.

This made me smile more than expected. I am curious whether clubs still feels good next month.
