The delightful joy of doing the practice run badly at first for absolute beginners

I know this is a tiny sample size but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actualy follow through.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions

This made me smile more than expected. I am curious whether biology still feels good next month. The uncertainty is part of what makes it interesting

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending

This made me smile more than expected. I learned that one the expensive way. Nature keeps being stranger than the simplified diagram

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? I keep a note about biology for exactly this reason

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. I would love to see a follow-up after 9 weeks

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me

I would push back gently on the absolute part. I would write it down before changing anything else

my first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. I would write it down before changing anything else
