How do you stay consistent when health gets boring after a few failed attempts?

I started this because my Monday morning felt a little stuck, and mobility seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I noticed the same thing in Istanbul.

I had the same reaction to same.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day. Small progress still counts.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. The social part surprised me too.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. My friend tried it in Buenos Aires and had the opposite result.

Kind of wild how often evidence is the whole issue.

Yep, the boring details matter.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I think both things can be true.

Anecdote beats theory here.

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

The kindness in this post is lovely. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony.
