A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made on a budget

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist?

I had the same reaction to read.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Fair pushback.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

This. Exactly this.

There is probably a middle ground here. I learned that one the expensive way.

This has cozy competence written all over it. It sounds small, but the playlist matters.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. My only addition is to make the first step visible. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near my desk.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The social part surprised me too.

The kindness in this post is lovely. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks.
