I finally understand why Pets people care about care after a tiny failure

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. photos got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I would push back gently on the tiny part.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The 4-minute rule is underrated.

Fair pushback.

That is the part people skip.

Kind of wild how often middle is the whole issue.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. A little friction removed goes a long way. I needed this reminder today.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I am stealing that phrase.

My wallet felt that.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.
