Can we talk about the underrated side of backend from my first week notes

I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where performance stopped feeling new.

I would push back gently on the notes part. My friend tried it in Lisbon and had the opposite result. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

That is a good boundary.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

There is probably a middle ground here. I am curious whether ux still feels good next month. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether notes stayed easy. I noticed the same thing in Nairobi.

I think both things can be true.

Can you share what you tried before this?

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Anecdote beats theory here.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The Melbourne example makes it feel concrete.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.
