Notes from a very normal commute with Programming from my Monday morning notes

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. It sounds small, but the route matters. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

Love the tiny experiment energy.

Anecdote beats theory here.

Great point, especially the part about morning. That is where the boring checklist helps. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop.

The notes angle is what sold me. That is where the boring checklist helps.
