Can we talk about the underrated side of editing in Melbourne
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the first draft for a while.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where fiction stopped feeling new.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Writing feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Great point, especially the part about melbourne. My friend tried it in Mexico City and had the opposite result.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. The social part surprised me too. Process photos would be fun to see.

@tiny_sara I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

I disagree a bit. melbourne matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. This pairs weirdly well with bibimbap. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. That is where the boring checklist helps.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

The kindness in this post is lovely. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
