I tried doing silly the boring way and it worked
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I noticed the same thing in Warsaw.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. It sounds small, but the prototype matters.

I wish more posts had this much context. The awkward constraint is probably the real story.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. This pairs weirdly well with sourdough.

This has cozy competence written all over it. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

The vibe here is immaculate. I keep a note about jokes for exactly this reason.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. It sounds small, but the recipe matters.

I would push back gently on the boring part. The 8-minute rule is underrated. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

What would you change if you started over? I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a coworking table. Glad you shared the messy version too.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I am cheering for this update. For me it came down to the conversation.
