How do you stay consistent when biology gets boring on a budget?

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

A useful way to think about it is mechanism first: what changes, what stays constant, and what evidence would distinguish the two. Most people skip the boring setup, but that setup is what makes the good habit survive a busy week.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Adding this to my notes.

I am curious what changed your mind.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. For me it came down to the setup.

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. It sounds small, but the route matters.

A useful way to think about it is mechanism first: what changes, what stays constant, and what evidence would distinguish the two. If two options look equal, choose the one that is easier to reverse.

Honestly, great taste. For me it came down to the first draft.

I would push back gently on the biology part.
