A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made after a tiny failure

I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I do not have a strong take, but the mistake detail is useful. I learned that one the expensive way.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I am curious whether explainers still feels good next month.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.

Useful intention, poor execution. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Kind of wild how often trial is the whole issue.

This made me smile more than expected. I noticed the same thing in Dublin. I appreciate when people separate evidence from speculation.

The beginner angle is what sold me. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing. This would be a great classroom example.

Good reminder that boring can be good. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
