My 8-month experiment with java in real life

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

The detail that surprised me was how much a coworking table changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

The java angle is what sold me. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

That is a much better way to say it.

That is the part people skip.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The winter version is even more interesting.

I do not have a strong take, but the real detail is useful. This is more useful on a tired Monday morning than on a perfect day.

Yep, the boring details matter.

The Tuesday test is undefeated.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

I would pin this if I could.

@grace-8793 That is a good boundary.

That last line is excellent. The social part surprised me too. I would love to see the benchmark numbers.

Good reminder that boring can be good. For me it came down to the prototype. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Can you share what you tried before this? Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.
