What cinema looks like when you stop optimizing everything without making it complicated

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. directors got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I started this because my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and cinema seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than São Paulo? That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

That is a much better way to say it.

The kindness in this post is lovely. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink everything. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. I respect a strong opinion about pacing.

What would you change if you started over? My only addition is to make the first step visible.
