My 5-month experiment with infosec after a tiny failure

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. The social part surprised me too. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The practical part is easy to underestimate.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Yep, the boring details matter.

Can you share what you tried before this? A little friction removed goes a long way.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Love the tiny experiment energy. A little friction removed goes a long way.

@coderPixel67 Could be regional too.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.
