I tried doing commuting the boring way and it worked in real life

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and bikes seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. I would test it for 7 days before deciding.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. I learned that one the expensive way.

Noted, and thank you.

Fair pushback.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I had the same reaction to trial.

Love the tiny experiment energy. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.
