A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made without making it complicated

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. java got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I tried this in Jakarta with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Noted, and thank you.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. The gentle part is easy to underestimate. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.

I had the same reaction to underestimate.

Helpful correction.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I learned that one the expensive way.

That last line is excellent. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. The the kitchen detail changes the whole answer. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Honestly, this is a little too vague to be useful. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near my desk.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Good reminder that boring can be good.

That last line is excellent. I keep a note about tools for exactly this reason.
