What would you rather spend a free Saturday doing with a practical constraint
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Baking feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. pastry got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Try something new. It seems like the practical answer. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Keep it simple got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

Try something new got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. The 6-minute rule is underrated.
