My favorite low-effort upgrade for multiplayer for absolute beginners

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where indie stopped feeling new.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. indie got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 7 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Manila? A little friction removed goes a long way.

That is a good boundary.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Yep, the boring details matter.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

Anecdote beats theory here.

This has cozy competence written all over it. That is where the boring checklist helps.

That last line is excellent. I am curious whether pc still feels good next month.

The favorite angle is what sold me. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. The Jakarta example makes it feel concrete.
