What plantbased looks like when you stop optimizing everything on a budget
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The the library detail changes the whole answer.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. The 5-minute rule is underrated.

This made me smile more than expected. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

What would you change if you started over? I am curious whether recipes still feels good next month.

This reminds me of something a friend in Dublin mentioned. I would test it for 3 days before deciding. This is the kind of thing that tastes better the next day.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation.

Love the tiny experiment energy. I would test it for 7 days before deciding. I would absolutely hover near the kitchen for this.
