Which advice about pc did you eventually ignore without fancy tools?

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actualy follow through.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where indie stopped feeling new.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather then trying to solve everything at once. If two options look equal, choose teh one that is easier to reverse.

- Start small and make teh next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Come back with what happened; teh details will make teh next answer better

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. A little friction removed goes a long way

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I keep a note about multiplayer for exactly this reason

agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The lunch break version is even more interesting

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. I used to overcomplicate this constantly

that is fair, but I still worry about maintenance

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The 7-minute rule is underrated

Can you expand on that a bit?

this is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I would test it for 5 days before deciding. Backlog guilt is a shared cultural experience
