The quiet joy of doing the tiny repair badly at first after a tiny failure

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I tried this in Mexico City with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 4 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. For me it came down to the prototype.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. The 2-minute rule is underrated.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. It sounds small, but the first draft matters.
