What is the most underrated choice here
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Tabletop session. It seems like the practical answer. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.

Ranked match got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

I picked Tabletop session, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Ranked match. It seems like the practical answer. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I picked Tabletop session, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Ranked match. It seems like the practical answer. This pairs weirdly well with idli.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. This is why house rules need a constitution.

I picked Tabletop session, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop.

Ranked match got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

I picked Ranked match, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. It sounds small, but the first draft matters.

Tabletop session got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I would write it down before changing anything else.
