The thing nobody told me about beans for absolute beginners

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Coffee feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. This pairs weirdly well with shakshuka.

Yep, the boring details matter.

That is a much better way to say it.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. That is where the boring checklist helps. Now I'm hungry, which feels unfair.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. That is where the boring checklist helps.
