The thing nobody told me about family without making it complicated

I tried this in Melbourne with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

The vibe here is immaculate. I learned that one the expensive way.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. That is the kind of detail beginners miss. Glad you shared the messy version too.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The gentle part is easy to underestimate.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 7 months. For me it came down to the first draft. Glad you shared the messy version too.
