Can we talk about the underrated side of science in Madrid

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. culture got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where global stopped feeling new.

I tried this in Toronto with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony.

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. The Istanbul example makes it feel concrete. This makes me want to look at a map for an hour.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. I am curious whether technology still feels good next month. Public transit stories are secretly sociology stories.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Can you expand on that a bit?

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 9 months. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

There is probably a middle ground here. The awkward part is easy to underestimate.

The science angle is what sold me. This makes me want to look at a map for an hour.

I am stealing that phrase.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

I wish more posts had this much context. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop.
