What I wish I knew before trying restaurants after 42 tries

The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

I tried this in Jakarta with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where restaurants stopped feeling new.

I started this because my lunch break felt a little stuck, and restaurants seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

The restaurants angle is what sold me. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

@curious_camila82 That is the part people skip.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? The Buenos Aires example makes it feel concrete. Now I'm hungry, which feels unfair.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The social part surprised me too.
