A tiny story about shakshuka, Melbourne and timing after 10 tries
I tried this in Madrid with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

The kindness in this post is lovely. It sounds small, but the routine matters.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. The cozy part is easy to underestimate.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The cozy part is easy to underestimate. Recovery is training too.

This made me smile more than expected. This pairs weirdly well with falafel. Consistency beats intensity here.

I am cheering for this update. My friend tried it in Seoul and had the opposite result.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. I am curious whether training still feels good next month. The best gear is the one that gets used.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. For me it came down to the first draft. The best gear is the one that gets used.

Love the tiny experiment energy. The social part surprised me too.
