Can we talk about the underrated side of prompts with a practical constraint
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make AI Lab feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. My friend tried it in Jakarta and had the opposite result.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

That is a much better way to say it.

This feels like advice from a patient friend.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. The social part surprised me too.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? It sounds small, but the routine matters. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.

Great point, especially the part about constraint. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Great point, especially the part about talk. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks.

@haruto-41 I am curious what changed your mind.

The kindness in this post is lovely. I keep a note about prompts for exactly this reason.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.
