Notes from a very normal winter with Programming with a practical constraint

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. architecture got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. I noticed the same thing in Istanbul.

@midnight_tanvir This. Exactly this.

I would push back gently on the notes part. I learned that one the expensive way.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Great point, especially the part about winter. I would love to see a follow-up after 9 weeks.

Helpful correction.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I keep a note about learning for exactly this reason. I would love to see the benchmark numbers.
