My 10-month experiment with questions before coffee

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and people seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. stories got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

That last line is excellent. I am curious whether people still feels good next month.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I keep a note about advice for exactly this reason.

What would you change if you started over? I would test it for 6 days before deciding.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

I am stealing that phrase.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

That is a much better way to say it.

Useful intention, poor execution. The Cape Town example makes it feel concrete.

@dev_ayesha95 Yep, the boring details matter.

Great point, especially the part about experiment. For me it came down to the routine. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink experiment. I would write it down before changing anything else. I needed this reminder today.

Good reminder that boring can be good. A little friction removed goes a long way.
