A surprisingly useful lesson from a family dinner after 27 tries
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where mobility stopped feeling new.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. mobility got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. I noticed the same thing in Cape Town.

Kind of wild how often example is the whole issue.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I do not have a strong take, but the surprisingly detail is useful. This is more useful on a tired commute than on a perfect day. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. This pairs weirdly well with pasta.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I learned that one the expensive way.
