What I wish I knew before trying family that actually stuck

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 4 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and wins seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the prototype for a while.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. That is where the boring checklist helps. Small progress still counts.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I learned that one the expensive way.

This has cozy competence written all over it. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. For me it came down to the recipe.

This reminds me of something a friend in Madrid mentioned. For me it came down to the practice run.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The first week version is even more interesting.
